Provides administrative support to the online interpersonal violence prevention programs, which are required of all incoming students. Performs all day-to-day functions of maintaining the online interpersonal violence prevention education and monitoring course correspondence. This is primarily an administrative role.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with over 5,000 students regarding course requirements and deadlines through mass mailings, and respond to individual questions via e-mail
• Maintain online course pages in ICON, including sending reminders and tracking grades in Microsoft Excel
• Collaborate with other instructors of the Success@Iowa course to improve course functionality and improve compliance rates; offer support to other instructors as needed
• Utilize Microsoft Excel to manipulate data regularly
• Employ a variety of strategies to remind students of course requirements and the importance of sexual assault prevention education
• Enforce course completion requirements for graduate students by placing academic holds
• As schedule allows, serve on the Anti-Violence Coalition (AVC) and the Campus Education sub-committee with campus and community partners working to prevent interpersonal violence on campus
• Co-present outcomes to campus partners
• Develop, monitor, and report outcomes related to these programs as requested by the campus partners
• Stay informed on current literature and topics related to sexual misconduct prevention and education

Qualifications

• REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Excellent written communication
• Ability to communicate effectively and maintain positive interactions, including when responding to individuals expressing frustration
• Ability to prioritize tasks and to be self-directed
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfort applying conditional formatting and manipulating data in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately
• Dependable, organized and detail-oriented
• Skilled in interpersonal relationships and maintaining effective working relations with others
• Incoming Junior, Senior, or Graduate level standing at the University of Iowa
• DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
• Customer service experience via e-mail
• Familiarity with FERPA, HIPAA, or confidentiality practices
