• Supervise, oversee and coordinate catering delivery driver’s activities including timely packing, set-up, service, and clean-up of all assigned catering events with or without supervision.
• Delegate tasks, provide direction and inspect the work of student staff to ensure complete and correct execution.
• Writing and executing Delivery Packing Lists – including reading and understanding the BEO, equipment and food items.
• Phone employees when necessary. Communicate all information regarding tardiness, absences, and exemplary behavior to supervisors.
• Train new employees in reading schedules, truck operations, and safety.
• Responsible for communicating pan sizes and checking food carts with kitchen staff during the packing of an event.
• After fully reading and reviewing the event BEO ask clarifying questions as needed.
• Responsible for checking out keys and returning them to the proper location.
• Communicate with Supervisor/ Student Manager to ensure that all items needed for an event make it on the truck and you leave for OTD on time.
• Establish communication with client right away, go over timeline together, and ensure confidence.
• Handle requests and inquiries from customers with a confident and positive manner. Go above and beyond to please the customer and provide excellent customer service.
• Complete a shift supervisor report, (when applicable) and send to appropriate individuals.
• Direct, assign, and participate in the completion of the closing list.
• Make independent decisions and exercise good judgement in the absence of a supervisor.
• Knowledge of proper usage, cleaning, fixing and returning of food and equipment.
• Perform additional duties as necessary, always asking for help when needed!
